DHA Animation Motors
The DHA Animation Motor system is a modular device designed to allow the creation of a wide variety of motion effects such as rippling water, rising flames, passing trains etc or abstract effects. In general it is intended for use in combination with a gobo in a profile lantern, however it is also possible to use it to make colour wheels or alternative effects with other types of lantern or with other devices such as a gobo rotator. Experimentation is the key and sometimes the best effect is found when you throw things wildly out of focus!
In addition to your lantern and gobo, it's simplest fixed speed configuration it comprises: a motor unit (AMU), lantern backplate and effects disc.
For Vari-Speed, the following components will be required: Vari-Speed motor unit (AMU), lantern back plate, effects disc and vari-speed controller PSU. The PSU may further be controlled by a 0 to 10V analogue signal and hence also by DMX via a demultliplexer. PSUs give independent control of 2 channels. The Vari-Speed motors use an XLR4 cable and both parallel and dual channel splitters are available. Please discuss your requirements with our hire department, who will advise on the specific items you will need.
