Point Source Acquire Robert Juliat Super Korrigan for hire stock

Point Source Productions latest acquisition to its hire stock is the Robert Juliat Super Korrigan 1200W HMI followspots.

With a range celebrated as ‘The Rolls Royce of Followspots” , all the renowned Robert Juliat qualities are present in this recently launched product, and more besides. The Super Korrigan offers a zoom range of 7° - 14° with a sharp edge projection at all beam angles, making it an ideal gobo projector on corporate events as well as the more conventional followspot usage. Double condenser optics maximise light output and provide an extremely flat beam, which proves especially valuable for television applications. The hot restrike 1200W HMI lamp minimises the risk of lengthy delays in firing up the fixture in the event of unexpected power failure – a not uncommon occurrence in some live and outdoor venues!

The RJ Super Korrigan, which was awarded the LDI Best Lighting Product of the Year 2006, is an improvement on the original RJ Korrigan, offering efficient light out put for size and wattage ratio with up to 50% more light output than the previous model.

New innovations on the Super Korrigan include a large, heat resistant, wrap around handle which makes operation easy from whichever position an operator prefers to use and fingertip control of the mechanical dimmer shutter which gives smooth dimming with no black spot or loss of colour temperature.

The Super Korrigan also has a 100% closing iris, an internal slot for coloured dichroic glass or frost filters, and a soft frost on a flip lever.

Since their arrival, the followspots have proved exceptionally popular and are very busy on shows and corporate award ceremonies as well as cross hires to other hire companies.
