150W HQI Floods
Discharge light sources are popular in the event industry where
power supplies can be limited by the venue: they deliver a lot of
light for very little power. However, standard black fixtures do not
always meet the high visual standards required.
We has therefore invested in a large quantity of white 150W HQI
discharge floods which provide the high output, low wattage,
aesthetically pleasing solution that is perfectly suited to the pale
decorative interiors of many event environments. The white HQI
floods are proving very popular in the corporate events sector and
have already graced the halls of London Fashion Week this autumn.

 Emergency Exit Signs & Twin Heads
It’s a fact, standard emergency exit signs are designed for
permanent installation and handling only when a lamp needs
replacing. The rigours of constant handling that goes with our event
industry often prove too much for the unit’s construction. With this
in mind, Point Source Productions has re-engineered this most
important of fixtures. We started by attaching a custom backplate
which not only extends the unit’s life, but turns it into an
adaptable, multi-deployable unit.
The back plate has multiple rigging points allowing the use of
either hook clamps or half-couplers. These can be attached to the
top or the rear of the unit and the exit sign attached to standard
truss or a lighting bar as required. Chain points allow the sign to
be suspended at the correct door height, whilst holes in the back
plate also give the option of fixing to a back wall or set.
 We then continued with a few electronic adaptations which now
include the addition of an external switch to disconnect the battery
(thus dispensing with the need to remove the front cover), a switch
to change between Maintained and Non-Maintained status and an IEC
input modification which enables fast and easy connection to any
form of mains power connector.
Furthermore, LED indicators show at a glance – and from a distance -
when the unit is charging and whether it is Maintained or
Non-Maintained. A safety bond point is standard on all units.
The response to the re-designed exit signs has been so positive that
our Equipment Hire department also increased its stock of Emergency
Twin Heads which have now been adapted to include many of the
features of the Exit Signs.
Large quantities of both Emergency Exit signs and Twin Heads are now

 Inflatable Moving Light Domes
Did you know that Point Source Productions stocks weather resistant
inflatable moving light domes? Standing at 1.6m high, these domes
withstand winds of up to 60mph, rain and splashes.
Designed ostensibly for moving lights, the excellent heat management
of these domes also makes them perfect for housing standard tungsten
or discharge profiles, at corporate events or anywhere when logo
movement is not required.
Each dome carries an automatic cut out to the fixture in the event
of accidental deflation, so there is no danger of going into
meltdown!
